What is Jobber?

Jobber is web-based business management software specifically for field service companies. It provides Customer Relationship Management, Work Flow, Scheduling, Task Management functionality, and a lot more!

Who is Jobber for?

Anyone can use Jobber, but it is designed specifically for field service companies in industries such as landscaping and lawn care, painting, contract cleaning, construction, general contracting and snow removal to name just a few. If you operate a business that provides a service to customers at their property, then Jobber is for you!

Are there any system requirements?

Because Jobber is web-based, all you need is an internet connection to access the software. You can use Jobber through any modern web browser, including Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Opera. Jobber also supports most major smartphone and tablet devices, including Apple iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows platforms.

Am I going to require any training?

Unlike some of the other products on the market, Jobber is incredibly easy to use. While there will always be a bit of a learning curve with any new software, we've gone out of our way to ensure that Jobber remains an intuitive and easy to use system. What countries does Jobber work in?

Jobber currently supports the English language and the Dollar ($), Euro (€) and British Pound (£) currencies. You can also configure date and time format preferences, as they tend to differ from region to region.

Are there any commitments or contracts?

There are no commitments or contracts whatsoever. Jobber is a month-to-month service and you can cancel your subscription at any time without penalty.

Why do I have to validate my email address?

Because Jobber is managing your most important business asset — your customer information — it's important that we confirm that we have a valid means of keeping in contact with you. Jobber will automatically send you important notifications and reminders based on your configuration of the software, and we will periodically send out a newsletter (no more than once per month) letting you know about what improvements we've made, and what's upcoming on our roadmap. We will never sell or share your contact information with any third party. Ever.

If you don't receive a Welcome email within a few minutes of signing up, please go into your Account Settings to confirm your email address is correct or have a look in your spam filter; depending on your email client and your spam settings the Jobber email may have been re-directed there. If you do find any of Jobber's emails in your spam filter, please be sure to mark them as "Not Spam" to avoid missing any important information in the future!

What happens after my 30-day trial period expires?

When you're nearing the end of your 30-day trial we'll send you a reminder to enter your billing information to ensure uninterrupted service. Your Billing Information can be entered under the "Billing Info" in your Account Settings. If your account does expire before you enter your billing information don't worry, nothing will be deleted, and you can go into your "Account Settings" at any time to enter your info and continue using the software.

What if I want to change my Billing Information or Subscription?

It's easy to manage your billing and subscription settings. You can edit your billing info by clicking "Change Billing Info" in the billing section of your account settings. You can turn Add-ons on and off, add and edit Team Members, and adjust the rest of your Jobber configuration from the Account Settings.

Is my billing information secure?

Yes! Jobber doesn't store any of your billing information locally. Instead, we make use of a third party service that is independently certified to store sensitive personal information such as credit card and banking information. Your billing details are transferred over an encrypted (SSL) connection to this third party, and all transactions happen directly through them. This is the same level of security used in online banking.

How many users can I have? What's the difference between a Login and a Non-Login user?

You can add as many of your Team Members to Jobber as you like. When you add a Team Member to Jobber you can choose whether you would like them to have login access or not. Team Members with login access can log into Jobber themselves with their own unique login name, allowing them to manage as much or as little of your Jobber account as you give them permission to. Team Members without login access can't log in to Jobber, but you can still assign them to jobs and track their time in Jobber.

Turning login access on for a Team Member is just $9/month per additional user, and you can add and remove login access at any time as needed.

What does Jobber do exactly?

Jobber is an end-to-end business management system for your field service company. The software handles everything from customer relationship management, quoting, job tracking, billing & invoicing, and a whole lot more. Can I import my existing customer list?

Absolutely! You can import your existing customers as a CSV or vCard file. Jobber also synchronizes with QuickBooks, so you can import your customers from there as well. Check the Importing & Exporting Documentation for more information.

Is my data backed up and secure?

Your Jobber data is backed up 6 times a day, plus nightly and weekly. That's on top of the fact that the infrastructure that Jobber is built on top of is completely redundant and fail safe both in terms of storage and processing. In short, if you have a good password, your data is much more secure in Jobber than it is sitting on your computer at home.

What if I don't want all of my employees to be able to see certain information?

You can specify permissions for each Team Member with login access to your Jobber account, so that they only have access to view, create and modify the pieces of information your give them clearance for.

How will using Jobber benefit me and my business?

There has been a relatively recent trend away from software that is based on installation and regular upgrading. This is due in part to the increasingly rapid life cycle of hardware and therefore of the software designed to run on it, and to the rise of mobile computing. More and more people are demanding mobile, web-based products that don't limit simultaneous sign-ons and can be accessed from any internet-connected device from anywhere in the world. Jobber is designed with your needs in mind, you're on the go most of the time and can't afford to be tied down to your desktop or even your laptop.
